1. Take Action Everyday
Your business WILL NOT grow without consistent advertising and promotion. Spending more money does not equate more success, marketing is about STRATEGY. You do not have to break the bank to have highly effective advertising. It does, however, mean that you MUST take some form of decisive action in marketing your business EVERY DAY. When I first began in this industry, I did not dare miss a day of marketing for the first three years. I made a promise to myself that no one would out-work me. I trusted that if I were more diligent than most for the next 3-5 years, I would have the lifestyle most dream of for life!
Regardless of your marketing budget, you should spend time every day building your online presence and expanding your reach with web 2.0 low/zero cost options.
2. Entitlement and Prudence.
Consistent action is the key to being a successful marketer in any business, whatever the medium. A common marketers mistake is they rush into a few marketing platforms, they buy an application or two, place a few ads, do a couple of things online. Throwing what they can at the wall, hoping something sticks. Hoping the world will fall into their lap.
Let me be explicitly clear with you right now before you spend a penny on marketing. If you have an entitlement mentality and think consistent traffic will happen on its own, you will get KILLED.
Marketing is HARD WORK and the lynchpin of every successful business. Think about it in these terms: If marketing were easy, everyone and every business would be successful. Regardless if you are a dentist, accountant, trucking company, yoga instructor, or flower arranger.
Marketing is the primary and most effective medium to get your product in front of your target audience. This is where you make your case as to why you are exactly what your customer is looking for. Be PRUDENT with your marketing: consider your audience, your platform, what emotions you want to elicit from your customer, your own personal psychology. Remember you have a fantastic and proven product behind you.
Marketing will be the most difficult, yet rewarding aspect of this process (outside of getting checks of course). The feeling of accomplishment that comes from setting up a successful campaign and seeing 10:1 result on your money is incredible.
FACT: Nationwide, 95% of ALL businesses go BANKRUPT within five years. (This includes brick and mortar businesses.)
Based on this, you MUST be prepared to exert MORE EFFORT when it comes to marketing than the 95% who fail if you plan to succeed. There is no shortcut or easy way out.

3. Intelligent Patience
With any marketing venture, you must be disciplined enough to Stay The Course. When they don’t see quick results, they pull their ad after a very short run. This is one of the biggest mistakes a business owner can make. We are all consumers as well correct? So consider the human psychology of association.
Studies show that a consumer needs to see your ad (product or service) at least 7 times before making a purchasing decision.
